East London’s fashion gang invaded the Rochelle School of Art in Shoreditch on Wednesday night for a party to celebrate the classic Hermés scarf. Named, J’aime mon Carré or I Love My Scarf, the event encouraged people to try out new ways to wear the scarf. Experts were on hand to assist with the styling, while photographers captured the moment for guests.

Peroni beer and champagne were sipped under a maypole made of Hermés silk scarves while all-female punk band, Warpaint performed for a packed crowd. Familiar faces in attendance included X-Factor reject Nicola Festa and singer Eliza Doolittle, while jeweller Dominic Jones represented the fashion pack.

The walls of the party were decorated with photos of the Hermés girls – a group of It girls known for wearing their scarves well. They include Toyko’s U and Kozue, New York’s Viera Harley Newton, L.A’s Courtney Falsey, Paris’s Ella and London’s Anna Brewster.
