I realised I was getting old when I was able to have a full conversation about home storage, without any embarrassment. It’s actually one of my favourite things, along with another S; Stationary.

Storage boxes make me feel like my life is in order, something that’s very important when your life is erratic as mine. Before you start thinking I’m a total loser, I’m not talking the pound shop Tupperware kind of storage boxes that live under the bed. I’m talking about the storage boxes of dreams; Muji’s clear plastic sets.

My bathroom and bedroom are full of them, in a variety of shapes and styles. Personally I think they have the added bonus of looking good as well as being super functional. I keep my make up and jewellery arranged in them, I also keep my pens organised in them in my office.

My friends joke that I’m going to go bankrupt on MUJI products. To be honest, I did too until they discontinued the Black Lily candle, which honestly broke my heart. Now I think I’m safe, let’s be real – there’s only so much you can store in one flat…
