Im a certified cosy girl, I enjoy nothing more than being dressed in a tracksuit. It makes me feel like I can be comfortable, do whatever I need to that day, whilst getting through my work, even if I’m rushing. I do love heels, but realistically you can’t do a full days work running round London in them- although they look great with tracksuits, and I do like that for a night time twist- for a daytime look I’m always happy in a full tracksuit. Or even tracksuit bottoms with a little T-shirt or crop top.
My love for tracksuits has deepened over the years, I used to think that they looked too dressed down, but I’ve realised there are ways to dress up a tracksuit. Sometimes just having the two pieces matching can mean you can be slightly more dressed up with your hair, makeup and shoes but still rocking the casual vibe. I quite like mixing up tracksuits with clothing you wouldn’t expect to see them with, like heels, chokers or various sparkly jewellery, elevating it to a party/ night time look.
I started wearing tracksuits more when I began working longer days. As I started to get tired- work can be exhausting at times, especially if your on the move again after four hours sleep, a late working night and an early start to continue on- that sometimes having a tracksuit wrapped around you makes you feel just that little more comfortable and relaxed. It’s something that definitely cheers me up if I’m facing another eight hour day whilst in a state of exhaustion: there’s definitely an appeal in the fluffy, fleecey cocoon of a tracksuit.
