Location: Miami, Florida.

What’s the meaning behind your name?
I’d say the idea with the most meaning when it comes to my name has to be the simple definition of the word, ‘Odyssey’: A long wandering and testing journey. Life, I suppose. To be honest, I actually George Harrison’d that shit and just stuck my finger in a book and that was the first word I got. Added the extra D cus’ it looked cool lol.

What other names have you had?
The only other name I’ve ever had was probably ‘Sly’, back in late 2010 when I first started. Damn, that was corny.

Which song of yours would you first want people to hear?
First song of mine I’d want people to hear is probably Holographic or La Familiar, for the sake of just gettin’ them to turn up and be able to vibe to my shit and not have to delve deep into the archives of Major118 and find the other shit.

Who was your Hip Hop idol growing up?
Hip hop idol growing up would probably be The Game. I heard The Documentary when I was in the fifth grade and knew every single lyric on that album front to back within two days. That album is the reason I make music. Perfection, real talk.

Which musician would you most like to work with?
A musician I’d most like to work with is hard to say. Rap-wise, Key! of the Atlanta rap collective Two9. He’s wild haha. But just plain music, makin’ some caaaraaazy dope shit, Damon Albarn of Gorillaz.

If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead?
Shit, if I wasn’t making music, I’d be dead. In the ground, six feet. All that. Or be bored, depressed, drinking myself to death wondering what the hell happened.

What’s success to you?
Success to me? Knowing someone, somewhere, thinks about the things I’ve said and can apply a lyric or a phrase of mine to any facet or bit and piece of their life. Familiarity and kinship through music and music alone. When people understand, I’ll be successful.

Which country produces the best food and women?
Food and women are two strikingly similar but very very different things lol so I’ma have to name their respective countries. Food, probably Italy. Italian food be wylin’. And women? Japan.

What’s your vice?
My vice is menthol cigarettes. Nothing better than a nice refreshing menthol Marlboro after a long day. Oh and Jameson.

What’s your favourite animal?
My favorite animals are bears. They’re cool.
