V.I.C.E.S could mark the beginning of New Jersey MC Da$h’s ascendency proper.

The tape is awash with exciting features and collaborations including the likes of A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast, Action Bronson, Vince Staples and Ab-Soul amongst others, and production is taken care of by a whole host of names, most notably Larry Fisherman on Aristocratic Anarchy. For those of you that didn’t already know, Larry Fisherman is the production alias of Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller.

Da$h may be looking to shake off any comparisons with his uncle, Dame Dash, and V.I.C.E.S (which stands for Very Ignorant Content Exposing Success) is definitely a mixtape which exposes the rapper’s unique ability.

Brighton Beach which features Thelonious Martin on production is a real chilled track, and Da$h spits his flow of consciousness over it with aplomb. Much of the album contains this old school feel like on Brighton Beach, but harder tracks which verge on the borders of trap can also be found in the form of Glad BagSo Cold and Burnt : Fuck 1x.

After listening to the mixtape, it’s clear that New Jersey native Da$h is one to look out for in the future.
