There have been several unofficial leaked photos of André 3000 playing Jimi Hendrix in the forthcoming biopic All Is By My Side, but the image above is the real deal.

The film is set to be premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and is said to focus on Hendrix’s younger years, before he gained international recognition.

All Is By My Side will not feature any of Jimi’s original music though, due to clearance issues involving his estate.
