Kendrick’s Control verse may have been  just enough to get his latest album past the millionth sale mark…

good kid, m.A.A.d city has gone platinum, and yes, Kendrick Lamar’s outspoken, controversial verse on Big Sean’s Control probably had a lot to do with it.

The album was only #52 on the Billboard charts the week prior to the whole Control debacle, and following Big Sean’s track with Lamar and Jay Electronica, good kid, m.A.A.d city was suddenly back in the top 40 again.

Even though some laughed at Kendrick Lamar’s ‘King of New York’ claims, some props have to be given to the Compton rapper for his record going platinum in the first place.

Now everybody is wondering whether the hype over Control will give Detroit MC Big Sean a helping hand when his new album, Hall Of Fame, drops. What do you think?
