Nokia Music has teamed up with the legendary Sundance film festival and commissioned some of the best independent film makers and directors to produce New American Noise, a six part documentary showing the underground scene in six American cities.
Now to explore it further, Nokia Music are looking to find the next set of unique underground scenes by launching a short-film competition in association with Talenthouse and Sundance London to encorage filmakers and directors across the globe to capture the underground scene unique to their city.

All you need to do is submit a short trailer anywhere between 5Secs and 1min in length, it could be a unique identity or an authentic sound from a city.
Giving them an idea of your city and building up an image to give the underground its own unique identity.

So for all of you guys that think your sound or your scene is forgotten, this is a perfect opportunity to get yourselves heard and seen! If music is your thing, it is an amazing chance to promote your talent and ideas and share insight into a new scene and educate others about what it is that makes your scene unique.

All styles and approaches are welcome, the more creative the better, try to push boundaries and look into all possibilities. The two winning film makers will receive a $5000 production budget each along with two Nokia Lumia 920 phone handsets, then the final chosen winner there is an additional prize of $5000, the best part is both winners will get an all expenses paid trip to Sundance London where their film will premiere!
