1. What’s the meaning behind your name?
Denzel Curry is my actual birth name I just decided to make it my stage name. It’s the name I was given by my parents, so it’s what I’m sticking with.

2. What other names have you had?
Priest was the name I used to go by when I was younger, until I realized rap names were stupid for me and what I was trying to do, I’m just going to be myself.

3. Which song of yours would you first want people to hear?
I want people to hear N64 first because of the message behind that song. Also, I don’t want people to think that all I make is “Trap” or “Crunk” music like Threatz. I take pride in being lyrical. There will be something for everyone on the album (Nostalgic 64).

4. Who was your Hip Hop idol growing up?
I had several like Nas, Outkast, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, but times are different now. New Hip Hop doesn’t inspire me as much, so I listen to a lot of the older stuff.

5. Which musician would you most like to work with?
Earl Sweatshirt from OFWGKTA. I think him, myself and a handful of others are going to be holding it down for our generation.

6. If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead?
I would be creating/selling my art (I’ve drawn all the single art so far and the cover for the album and I draw in my spare time); probably get back into karate and just be going to college. I’m an artist whether I’m doing music or not.

7. What’s success to you?
Success to me is insurance to show that everything I did worked out at the end of the day. It’s something I’m trying to achieve, whether it’s school, rap, or art. As long as I can look back and be proud of what I did and inspire others in the process, that’s success to me.

8. Which country produces the best food and women?
I don’t know yet, I’m getting my passport in preparation for shows and travel outside the U.S., but I would like to find out one of these days. Hopefully soon!

9. What’s your vice?
In Florida, “Ranking” is slang for “playing the dozens” or just cracking jokes. My friends and I crack a lot of fucked up jokes but it’s all in fun, we don’t ever mean any harm. That’s Miami though. In High School your “Rank” game had to be on point or you would get picked on and just be a target. So, I might say things to people and they take it the wrong way, but it’s all in fun. I’m just playing… sometimes lol.

10.What’s your favorite animal?
I would say a Lion because they attack what they need to stay on top of the food chain. King of the Jungle.
