1. What’s the meaning behind your name?
Well, Max came from my previous stage name “Max Mega,” which was short for Max Megatron. I switched to Max Fullard, which is my real last name, when I grew up a bit.
2. What other names have you had?
Ha! all those mentioned above: Max Megatron, Max Mega, Max Fullard.
3. Which song of yours would you first want people to hear?
I did a song called ‘Pretty Girl’ way back in 2008 that was a smash with the ladies, still gets love to this day, just the recording and mixing was bad. Out of my new stuff though? ‘Mama’s Day’ and ‘Let You Know’ are my favs off the new album.
4. Who was your Hip Hop idol growing up?
I grew up listening to Tupac heavy (my sister put me on), but I always loved ‘Food & Liquor’ Lupe, and pre-‘My Dark Twisted Fantasy’ Kanye. They moulded me. I mixed in Pharrell because I lived in VA Beach, mix in some Slim Thug and I’m good. But [Tupac’s] ‘I Get Around’ is my favorite of all time.
5. Which musician would you most like to work with?
Pharrell, I still think till this day ‘Hello New World’ was directed to me, my nigga you can do it too.
6. If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead?
Running a used video game store, writing more. I have a children’s book on stash, and about four different screenplays. I always have plans for a Youth Center venue, when I get my paper up.
7. What’s success to you?
Being able to wake up when you feel like it, being happy, a good wife, healthy family, making movies, the ability to make dreams come true and better the lives for individuals I cross paths with.
8. Which country produces the best food and women/men?
I believe Italy would top that in both categories. I have a thing for curvy women, food from Italy never disappoints. I love Brazil and Canada too, though not for food, just women. America has all flavours for both subjects ha!
9. What’s your vice?
I’m addicted to progress, everyday I have to do something to feel as if I’ve moved forward, hence ‘Nights of the Forth’. If I don’t, I feel I’ve wasted my day and it’ll put me in a shitty mode. Besides that, videogames, sex and money in no particular order.
10.What’s your favourite animal?
My homie Butters, that’s my pup, he my nigga, forever loyal.
