Jonathon “Junia-T” Lindo is an artist, producer and emcee from Mississauga, Ontario. In 2011, The Toronto Star rated him as one of their top five hip hop artists from Toronto; and within that same year he won the freestyle battle on national institution, Much Radio. The multi-talented rapper, producer and sound engineer recently dropped his album titled, Eye See You, receiving a lot of love throughout the Internet blogosphere.

Having recently completed his UK tour, the wordsmith drops a visual for Wasting Time, taken from his Eye See You album. Premiered today on LilyMercer.co.uk, the track sees Junia-T discussing the importance of passing on the wisdom he learnt in the streets of Toronto to children so they don’t make the same mistakes he and his friends made.

The visual features Junia-T himself sitting in the park playing chess with a young boy as he educates him on the Dos and Don’ts of life. The video may be loosely inspired by the infamous 1997 film, One Eight Seven, staring Samuel L. Jackson, in which a schoolteacher moves to Los Angeles from New York to teach, making it his mission to help the troublesome children through the game of chess.

Check out the video and Junia-T‘s album, Eye See You, which also features London’s very own Little Simz, as well as LordQuest and Franc Grams.
